Day Four · I AM
Pause
Before the mountains were born,
before You gave birth to the earth and the world,
from beginning to end—You are God.
Psalm 90:2
Today you come before Jesus,
the God who has always been.
The God who will always be.
Breathe deeply.
Let the rush of time slow in His presence.
What might it mean
that Jesus simply is?
Ponder

Moses had no idea
who he would encounter
when God called his name
from out of a blazing bush.
It was an invitation like no other.
A call that could forever alter history.
Then the Lord told him, “Look! The cry of the people of Israel has reached me... Now go, for I am sending you to Pharaoh.”
But Moses protested, “What is his name?”
God replied, “I am who I am. Say this to the people of Israel: I am has sent me to you.”
Exodus 3:5–14 (selected)
Moses had grown up in Egypt, a land of many gods
who could be appeased,
managed,
persuaded.
But this God was different.
No bargaining.
No control.
No explanation.
Only this:
I AM.
Not I was.
Not I will be.
Not defined.
Not dependent.
Self-existing.
Unchanging.
God.
Read the passage again, watching for
a word,
an image,
or a phrase
that lingers.
Hold what you received gently
as you turn it over in your heart and mind.
What is God’s heart for you in this?
Pray
Generations later,
Jesus stood before those who questioned Him--
and with startling clarity said:
“Before Abraham was… I AM.”
Not a teacher.
Not merely a prophet.
The same voice
that spoke from the fire
now stood before them.
I AM.
And He is.
Let this settle your soul
into quiet wonder.
Jesus--
You are not becoming.
You are not changing.
You are not lacking.
You are.
Teach me to bow
before I try to understand.
Teach me to rest
in who You are--
not striving,
not bargaining,
but receiving.
You are enough.
Amen.
Practice
Think of one moment in your life
where you felt uncertainty or fear.
Complete this sentence:
Jesus, You were I AM before…
Now bring that same truth into today:
Jesus, You are I AM now.
Jesus was.
Jesus is.
Jesus will be.
If your mind wanders, whisper--
"Jesus, You are I AM now...and always.",
Worship the great I AM--unchanging, unshaken, forever God
When you are ready,
