Day Five · The Amen
Pause
This is the message from the one who is the Amen—the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God’s new creation...
Revelation 3:14
Quietly take in your surroundings.
Narrow your vision to your hands
as you fold them in your lap.
Bring your mind and heart to gentle
prayerful presence.
Welcome Jesus, who meets you here.

God is a dreamer
with God-sized dreams
and the power to make them come true.
He shares His dreams with us,
calling them promises
fulfilled in His Son.
does not waver between “Yes” and “No.”
For Jesus Christ, the Son of God,
does not waver between “Yes” and “No.”
... as God’s ultimate “Yes,” he always does what he says.
For all of God’s promises have been
fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!”
And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”)
ascends to God for his glory.
It is God who enables us, along with you,
to stand firm for Christ.
He has commissioned us,
and he has identified us as his own
by placing the Holy Spirit in our hearts as the first installment
that guarantees everything he has promised us.
— 2 Corinthians 1:18–22
Faithful.
Faithful.
Unwavering.
A resounding “yes”
spoken even now
over the landscape of your soul.
Take a moment to breathe this in.
Read the passage again, watching for
a word,
a phrase,
or an image
that stays with you, that holds your attention.
As you read, what draws your attention to Jesus--
the One who is the “Amen”?
What does His unwavering “Yes” reveal about the heart of God?
Where do you see His faithfulness on display?
Linger here as you hold what you’ve received.
What rises in your heart as you behold Him?
How might you respond to Him--
the One who is always “Yes” and “Amen”?
Pray
Amen--
a word the world knows well.
The same in every language,
it speaks of confidence and trust,
of security.
The One who is “Amen” is with you now--
speaking His faithful “Yes” over your life.
Jesus,
You are “yes” and “Amen.”
Every day, every hour,
in every circumstance,
struggle or pain.
I hear you whisper:
“You are mine.
Stand firm in my Name.”
I am yours, Lord.
May Your Spirit fulfill
Your dreams in me,
for Your glory,
and my joy.
Amen.
Practicing Worship

when our “Amen” rises to Him,
we step into what He is already doing.
