Day One · Heir
Pause
Take a few moments to center your soul.
Quietly release the cares and distractions
that weigh on you.
See the Spirit gently lifting them for safekeeping.
Jesus, the worthy One, is here.
Sit in stillness before Him.

“You are my Son; today I have begotten you.
Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage,
and the ends of the earth your possession.”
Psalm 2:7–8
What moves God’s heart?
Fields of flora scattered across earth’s terrain?
Billions of shimmering stars He knows by name?
Human beings, created in His own image?
These things,
must delight the
God who made it all.
Yet there is a far greater pleasure--
hidden within the Father’s heart.
It is Jesus, His Heir,
the One whose worth outshines it all.
Consider these words from Scripture:
to our ancestors through the prophets.
And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son.
God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance,
and through the Son he created the universe.
The Son radiates God’s own glory
and expresses the very character of God,
and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command.
When he had cleansed us from our sins,
he sat down in the place of honor
at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven. Hebrews 1:1-3
What do you see of who Jesus is--
of what was His,
even before the world came into being?
What would it cost Him
to receive His rightful inheritance?
Read the passage again, looking for
a word,
an image,
or a phrase
that draws you in.
Quietly reflect on what God has revealed.
Consider the matchless worth of Jesus, the Heir.
He who holds the world under His command--
and has made you clean.
Pray
Jesus’ final words--
inviting us to share in His inheritance,
to tell His story so that others may come.
Jesus,
You are Heir of all things.
The world is Yours.
The universe is Yours.
I am Yours.
Today I am listening to Your invitation.
Give me grace to hold it close,
to carry it with quiet trust.
I want to share in Your
glorious inheritance--
the nations around Your throne.
It is Your rightful legacy.
Amen.
Practicing Worship
The Father has made Jesus Heir of the nations.
For this He gave His life.
Now He sits in honor at God’s right hand,
where one day every tribe and tongue will worship Him.
Wait in quiet wonder before His presence.
If your mind wanders, whisper:
“Jesus, you are worthy... I sit at your feet.”
Worship the Heir of all things.
When you are ready,
