Day Three · Lion of Judah
Pause
Come in quiet rest before the Lord.
Let your heart open
before the One on the throne.
All is held in His hand.
Let His peace
settle over your soul.

Before the Lion is revealed,
a question is asked in heaven--
it echoes
through every realm.
Watch closely.
of the one who was sitting on the throne.
And I saw a strong angel,
who shouted with a loud voice:
“Who is worthy to break the seals
on this scroll and open it?”
But no one in heaven or on earth
or under the earth
was able to open the scroll and read it.
Then I began to weep bitterly
because no one was found worthy
to open the scroll
and read it. But one of the
twenty-four elders said to me,
“Stop weeping!
Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah,
the heir to David’s throne,
has won the victory.
He is worthy to
open the scroll and its seven seals.”
...And they sang a new song with these words:
“You are worthy to take the scroll
and break its seals and open it.
For you were slaughtered, and your blood
has ransomed people for God from every tribe
and language and people and nation.”
And then I heard every creature
in heaven and on earth
and under the earth and in the sea.
They sang: “Blessing and honor and
glory and power
belong to the one sitting on the throne
and to the Lamb forever and ever.” Revelation 5 (selected)
What do you see unfolding here--
this glimpse beyond time,
when all of heaven holds its breath?
Voices reverberate—can you hear them?
Thousands upon thousands,
surrounding the throne.
And at the center--
One stands.
Worthy.
Read the passage again, looking for
a word,
an image,
or a phrase
that draws your attention.
Hold it in quiet reverence
before the throne.
Behold the Lion--
the One who has triumphed.
Behold the Lamb--
the One who was slain.
Strength and sacrifice,
majesty and mercy,
held together in Him.
He alone is worthy.
Stay here a moment longer.
Pray
The Lion from the tribe of Judah
has triumphed.
The scroll is opened.
Jesus,
You alone are worthy.
Worthy of honor,
of glory,
of endless praise.
I join the voices around Your throne--
lifting a song that never ends.
Form in me a life
that echoes heaven’s worship,
a heart that bows in awe
before Your matchless worth.
Amen.
Practicing Worship
Even now,
heaven resounds with praise.
Take a few moments
to sit in quiet wonder.
If your thoughts wander,
gently return with the words:
“Jesus, You are worthy.”
Let your heart bow low.
Worship the Lion of Judah.
When you are ready,
