I haven't posted anything in a few weeks because we've been engaged in a totally unplanned kitchen remodel (more about that and the soul lessons I've learned-along with pictures- in the weeks to come!)
Meanwhile, my friend Joy Brownlee has agreed to guest host here with a powerful post from her own blog, I Believe in Joy. Take a trip over there and find all sorts of treasures from biracial hair care to fun recipes for kids to deep issues of our faith and most recently, how you can partner for peace in your community.
While Joy wrote this very personal and poignant letter to her biracial daughter a few weeks ago, it is even more relevant in light of events since then, particularly the situation taking place right now in Milwaukee. I know you will be moved as I was to read their story--every time I do, I find myself in tears.
