Learning His Compassion
Compassion begins with being seen.
With someone who notices, who stops, who draws near without judgment.
Jesus is that kind of presence.
He does not avert His eyes from pain or rush past need.
He listens. He touches. He enters in.
This week invites us to rest with the compassionate heart of Christ--
to receive His tender care for ourselves,
to let it soften and shape us,
and to learn how compassion grows naturally when it is first received.
You are not asked to do more or try harder.
Simply come.
Move slowly.
Notice what He notices.
And allow His compassion to meet you in the quiet places of your life.
How to use this week
Each day includes a written devotional you may read quietly on your own.
I encourage you to sit with your Bible open to the passage so you can reflect slowly as you read.
Deepen your journey by writing your thoughts in a journal.
